Web Grid Layout Made Simpler!

new version released!

Simple Grid System is deprecated. Please use UGrid instead.

What is good about web grid layout? Simple Grid System is tiny yet very powerful HTML and CSS grid framework. The idea of web grid is to simplify the whole process of web page creation from design to implementation. Grid design makes implementation much easier - using predefined grid layout helps to avoid the whole nightmare of weird column widths. Moreover the design looks consistent and maintenance is a dream. CSS / HTML grid I am presenting here is tiny, cross browser compatible and very flexible. On top of that it's also valid strict xhtml, easy to learn and gives quick and quality results.

Acknowledgements

Since the very beginning of my work on Simple Grid System I have met a lot of people who were very supportive and contributed to this framework in various ways. I would like to thank you all guys. And special big THANK YOU goes to (in chronological order): Gero Buttaci for taking me onboard and having faith in me, Michal Malota for inspiring me with the web grid idea, Sylvia Adamski for being my muse in early stages of the project, Richard Kacerek for becoming first devoted user of the grid framework, Muhenda Bagenda for supporting me, patiently reviewing my countless crappy designs and giving me honest feedback, Jason Wintermeyer for encouraging me and spreading the word, Hemangi Patel for thorough review of the grid tutorial and her valuable input.

Thank you and may the grid be with you,
Jacek
